Our edible guilds are full of edible and medicinal perennial plants suited to a variety of tastes and growing conditions. All guilds include a basic plant collection with substitutions available. Contact us to request pricing. We have do-it-yourself and full installation options, with hardscaping, irrigation, and maintenance plans available as additions.

Traditional Food Forest

A collection of common perennial fruits and herbs sure to appeal to any palette. Includes the fruit tree of your choice, gooseberries, rhubarb, fennel, mint, thyme, perennial onions, scarlet runner beans, and purple asters, plus optional vines & thickets.

Herb Spiral

A small raised berm or herb spiral creates micro-climates for all your favorite culinary herbs, including perennials like sage, oregano, rosemary, and chives, plus space to tuck in annuals like basil and cilantro.

Prairie Food Forest

An extremely tough guild full of food plants that mimic a prairie community. Includes perennial wheat paired with Native American staples and medicinals, including prairie turnip, banana yucca, prickly pear cactus, three-leaf sumac, and dwarf goldenrod. Well suited to replication over a large area.

Shade-Tolerant Food Forest

Ideal for light to part shade under an established tree. Includes currants, New Jersey tea shrub, sweet cecily, Chinese artichoke, French sorrel, chives, chamomile, and an optional chocolate vine.

Low-water plants well suited to Colorado’s arid climate, including hazelberts, currants, goji berries, leadplant, echinacea, yarrow, sage, and wild plums.

Well-suited to a drainage, depression, or rain garden, this mostly-native plant community is adapted to flooding and drought. It includes edibles like serviceberry, lovage, wild licorice, Maximillian sunflowers, milkweed, swamp verbena, and asparagus.
